On April 9, 2024, the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Board of Education approved the School Fee Justification Study that allows the District to levy the Level 1 fees authorized by the State Allocation Board (SAB). The study increased the school impact fees that the District can charge, as follows:
Type School Impact Fee Rates (per square foot) CURRENT NEW
Residential Construction $4.79 $5.17
Commercial/Industrial Construction $0.78 - $0.84
Rental Self-Storage Structures $0.24 - $0.28
Parking Structures $0.31 - $0.39
