Tom Marble Architecture (TMA)
Tom Marble Architecture (TMA) believes that architecture is storytelling, each building a narrative inspired by a client’s needs and desires. Whether it is fiction (residential) or non-fiction (commercial), most projects tend to follow rules defining
a specific architectural genre -- or not: some are more experimental, a hybrid of multiple genres, or a repudiation of them all. But however a project begins, the end result is a story the client wants to inhabit.
The Walk-Thru ADU is a small, standard-plan design, made with humble materials, and using built-in furniture and economies-of-scale to reduce construction costs. Having worked previously with a kit-of- parts, pre-fab building system on the award-winning Tattuplex, we think employing this approach would make the Walk-Thru ADU a refreshing option for anyone who wants to add a dwelling unit to their property in Los Angeles – or anywhere.
