Customers are now able to check in to the service counters at the Metro
and Van Nuys
locations starting 7am on Wednesdays. DSCs open 2 hours later on Wednesdays than other weekdays to allow for staff training, but this left customers standing in line for up to 2 hours waiting to check in.
LADBS IT staff worked with the queuing system company Q-Matic to allow customers to check in early without impacting data capture or reporting. More than 180 customers have used the new early check‐in since it was implemented on March 29 in the Metro and Van Nuys DSCs. The enhancement will be implemented in the rest of the DSCs by the end of April.
